- Do not shower too often. Once or twice a day is good enough for dry skin.

- Omega-3 fatty acids and Skin. Eating fish like salmon, tuna and halibut is good for the dry skin as it contains omega-3 fatty acids which hydrate and nourish the skin. Deficiency of omega-3 fatty acids is known to cause dry skin.

- Massage your face or body with almond oil or olive oil every night. Keep overnight and wash off in the morning. Massaging with grape seed oil is also a good cure for dry skin. In severe cases of dry skin, avocado oil or castor oil proves beneficial in curing dry skin.
