Recovery Heart Rate.

Recovery heart rate is the heart rate measured for a fixed period (typically for a minute) after cessation of physical activity. The more the reduction of heart rate after ceasing physical activity indicates a better fitness (More the RHR better the fitness).

Heart rate that does not drop by more than 12 bpm indicates a risk of heart disease. It can take up to 30 minutes for the heart rate to come to resting levels even after a short bout of hard physical activity.
