Symptoms of High Triglycerides.
Symptoms of high triglycerides are virtually non existent. It is the complications of high triglycerides which may present such symptoms as of :
- pancreatitis, which include sudden pain in abdomen, nausea,vomiting, loss of appetite, and fever.
- Liver and spleen enlargement,
- fatty deposits in the skin (xanthomas) in case of a genetic condition,
- a heart attack or stroke.
Causes of High Triglycerides.

4) Renal impairment
5) Too much alcohol intake.
6) Calorie intake regularly much higher than calories burnt. That means overeating and/or low physical activity.
7) Familial trait of high triglyceride levels.

- Contraceptive pills.
- Diuretics.
- Beta blockers.
- Steroids.
- Tamoxifens
- Steroids.
9) Wrong Diet consisting trans fats and saturated fats.
Dangers and Effects of High Triglyceride Levels.
High triglyceride levels are often associated with high levels of LDL (bad cholesterol). Do read complications of cholesterol and harmful effects of fats. Not all triglycerides are stored as adipose tissue but some of it travels in the blood stream as VLDL (very low density lipoprotein). High blood levels of triglycerides make the blood sludgy and increase the chances of clotting of blood and blockage of the arteries. This can cause a heart attack or stroke.
