Green Tea Benefits on Cancer.
Due to their antioxidant properties, catechins in green tea destroy the free radicals and help in preventing cancer or reducing its progress. Free radicals, formed usually during cell metabolism and also due to environment factors such as smoking, alcohol, pollution, etc are unstable atoms which attack normal stable molecules, making them free radicals themselves.
This ongoing process progressively destroys the body cells. One manifestation of this is cancer. An antioxidant is a stable molecule which donates an electron to the free radical to make it stable.
